On the basis of the principles of equality and mutual benefit and through friendly consultations, this
memorandum is signed by the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University UK, (hereafter referred to as
"FSV") and Academie Travel Abroad (hereafter referred to as "ATA"). This memorandum describes the
cooperative operation of the CET Prague programs and short-term programs for North American students at
Charles University by FSV and Academie Travel Abroaďs division, CET Academie Programs (hereafter referred
to as "CET").
To to memorandum, podepsané Fakultou sociálních věd Univerzity Karlovy (dále jen "FSV") a Academie Travel
Abroad (dále jen "ATA"), popisuje spolupráci mezi FSVa divizí ATA, CET Academie Programs (dále jen "CET").
Charles University is a legal entity lawfully created and validly existing under the laws of the Czech Republic.
ATA is a legal entity lawfully created and validly existing under the laws of the District of Columbia, USA. FSV
and CET serve as working departments of Charles University and ATA.
Univerzita Karlova je právní subjekt zákonně ustanovený a platně fungující v rámci zákonů české republiky.
ATA je právní subjekt zákonně ustanovený a platně fungující v rámci zákonů federálního distriktu Kolumbie,
USA. FSV je fakultou Univerzity Karlovy a CET je divizí ATA.
Through many friendly discussions, FSV and CET have reached an agreement based on the following terms
and conditions.
Na základě četných diskuzí o spolupráci dosáhly FSV a CET dohody založené na následujících podmínkách.
Article 1 Program Management
A. FSV's duties
1. Arrange for CET students to be allowed to enroll in English language courses at FSV, which
are taught according to the standard FSV academic calendar. FSV will notify CET of
English language course offerings shortly after they have been determined. FSV will work
with CET to ensure that CET students can complete all of their coursework by the end of
the CET semesters, around December 20th (fall) and May 20th (spring). CET has set a limit
of one to two FSV course per CET student per term. Students will be enrolled by FSV in
the SIS system.
2. lssue official academic transcripts for any courses taken at the Faculty of Social Sciences
for CET students upon completion of the program.
3. Coordinate with CET to provide good management of academics and instructors.
4. Coordinate with CET's representatives to resolve unforeseen problems.
B. CET's duties
1. Take responsibility for the work of recruiting students.

2. Take responsibility for the work of managing and educating CET students.
3. Take responsibility for organizing a variety of activities for CET students.
4. Take responsibility for the health and safety of the students
Representatives hired by both parties will take responsibility for organizing and implementing the above.
Článek 1 Řízení programu
A. Povinnosti FSV
1. Zajistit, aby se studenti CET mohli zapsat do předmětů vyučovaných v angličtině na FSV, které
jsou vyučovány v souladu s běžným akademickým kalendářem FSV. FSV upozorní CET na nabídky
předmětů v angličtině krátce po tom, co budou vypsány. FSV ve spolupráci s CET zajistí, aby
studenti CET mohli dokončit veškerou práci související s kurzem do konce semestru CET, tj. kolem
20. prosince (zimní semestr)a 20. května (letní semestr). CET určil limit jednoho až dvou kurzů FSV
pro jednoho studenta CET za semestr.
2. Vystavit oficiální akademické transkripty pro FSV kurzy pro studenty CET po dokončení programu.
3. Pracovat v souladu s CET na zajištění dobré správy akademických záležitostí, akademického
personálu a instruktorů.
4. Pracovat v souladu se zástupci CET na řešení neočekávaných problémů.
B. Povinnosti CET
1. Převzít odpovědnost za nábor studentů.
2. Převzít odpovědnost za vedení a vzdělávání studentů CET.
3. Převzít odpovědnost za organizaci škály aktivit pro studenty CET.
4. Převzít odpovědnost za zdraví a bezpečí studentů.
Zástupci obou stran přebírají odpovědnost za organizaci a realizaci výše uvedených povinností.
Article 2 Program Operation
A. Terms
The specific semester start and end dates of each long-term program are to be determined by CET.

Fall August 23 - December 21
B. Enrollment
CET will notify FSV of the possible number of applicants after the application deadline, according
to the following schedule:
Fall term enrollment July 1
Spring term enrollment December 15
CETwill notify FSV of the final number of courses for each term according to the following schedule:

Fall term enrollment One week after the FSV classes begin
Spring term enrollment One week after the FSV classes begin
C. Transcripts
ln the name of Charles University, FSV will issue transcripts ofwork completed on forms acceptable
to CET after the final grades are submitted by the students. Original transcripts will bear the Charles
University school seal and will be mailed from CET's Prague office to CET's Washington office.
CET's Washington office will then mail transcripts to students' home institutions. Transcripts should
be provided in English, bearing the appropriate seals and stamps.
D. Discipline
CET staff is responsible for strictly requiring that students participating in the CET program obey
the Czech laws and Charles University rules and regulations, and take good care of Charles
University property. lf a CET student breaks a Charles University regulation or damages Charles
University property, that student will be responsible for hi s/her actions. CET and its staff will have
no criminal or civil liability whatsoever for any violation of Czech law or Charles University
regulations, or damages to Charles University property by the students. The CET staffs
responsibility in case of misconduct by any students enrolled by CET is limited to taking disciplinary
action against any offending student.
E. CET Director of Prague Programs, Academie Director, and Program Coordinator(s)
The CET Director of Prague Programs and Resident Director(s) will manage the programs in
Prague.
Článek 2 Provozování programu
A. Podmínky
Konkrétní data začátku a konce každého dlouhodobého programu budou určena CET.

Letní semestr 18. ledna - 11. května
Zimní semestr 23. srpna - 21. prosince
B. Zápis
CET upozorní FSV ohledně možného počtu přihlášených po uzávěrce přihlášek podle
následujícího plánu:
Zápis do zimního semestru 1. červenec
Zápis do letního semestru 15. prosinec
CET upozorní FSV ohledně konečného počtu kurzů na každý semestr podle následujícího plánu:
Zápis zimního semestru Týden po začátku vyučování na FSV
Zápis letního semestru Týden po začátku vyučování na FSV

C. Transkripty
Jménem Univerzity Karlovy vydá FSV transkripty za dokončené studium na formuláři přijatelném
pro CET poté, co studenti obdrží závěrečnou klasifikaci. Originály transkriptů budou označené
razítkem Univerzity Karlovy a budou zaslány z pražské pobočky CET do ústředí CET ve
Washingtonu. Ústředí CET Washingtonu poté přepošle transkripty domovským institucím studentů.
Transkripty budou vystaveny v angličtině a budou mít příslušné pečetě a razítka.
D. Disciplína
Zaměstnanci CET budou přísně vyžadovat po studentech CET, aby dodržovali českém zákony a
pravidla Univerzity Karlovy, stejně tak aby slušně zacházeli s majetkem Univerzity Karlovy. Pokud
student CET poruší pravidlo Univerzity Karlovy nebo poškodí její majetek, bude za své činy
zodpovědný. CET a jeho zaměstnanci nenesou trestní ani civilní odpovědnost za jakékoliv porušení
českých zákonů nebo pravidel Univerzity Karlovy či poničení jejího majetku ze strany studentů.
Zodpovědnost zaměstnanců CET v případě výše uvedeného nevhodného chování studentů
zapsaných v CET je omezena na zahájení disciplinárního řízení proti studentovi.
E. Vedoucí pražských programů a místní vedoucí CET
Vedoucí pražských programů a místní vedoucí CET povedou programy v Praze.
Article 3 Fees, Facility Usaqe, and Services
A Tuition
CET agrees to pay tuition per credit hour per course taken at the FSV at the cost of 100 Euros per
credit.
CET agrees to transfer the funds to FSV no later than two weeks after the beginning of the FSV
semester, based on an invoice (an issued tax document) with a maturity of 14 days. On the invoice,
FSV is required to provide all necessary bank information.
CETwill be responsible for paying FSV tuition based upon the actual number of students who enroll
in the courses.
B. English-Language Electives
Upon receiving the current FSV course schedule, students will be enrolled in the classes they are
interested through the SIS system by FSV after receiving this information from CET. Students will
decide within one week their final course choices and CET will inform FSV of the final selection.
C. Computer Access or Library Access
CET students can use the FSV computer facilities at Jinonice, including email and the internet at
no additional charge. Students will pay a nominal fee set by the service provider for printing.
Students will pay the same fee for printing as FSV degree students.
CET students will be granted access to FSV libraries to aid them in their academic research. FSV
will assist CET to provide CET students with access to the English language library.
D. Additional issues
FSV and CET will work together in good faith to address any and all additional issues which may
arise throughout the term of the contract. CET reserves the right to hire an outside provider for all
services not enumerated in this contract, or to hire FSV.

Článek 3 Poplatky, využití místního zařízení a služby
A. Školné
CET souhlasí se zaplacením školného za kreditovou hodinu na jeden kurz na FSV za cenu 100 Euro
za jeden kredit a jednoho studenta.
CET souhlasí se zaplacením nejdéle dva týdny po zahájení semestru na FSV na základě vystavené
faktury-daňového dokladu s lhůtou splatnosti 14 dnů FSV má povinnost poskytnout veškeré
nezbytné bankovní údaje CET před tímto převodem.
CET bude zodpovědné za placení školného pro FSV. Výše školného se bude odvíjet od skutečného
počtu studentů, kteří budou zapsáni v kurzech.
B. Volitelné předměty v angličtině
Po obdržení aktuálního seznamu předmětů se studenti CET zapíší do předmětů dle své volby. FSV
je zapíše do systému SIS poté, co obdrží informace ze strany CET. Studenti se rozhodnou během
jednoho týdne ohledně konečné volby kurzu a CET bude ohledně konečného výběru informovat FSV.
C. Přístup k počítači nebo přístup do knihovny
Studenti CET mohou využívat počítače v zařízení FSV v Jinonicích včetně emailu a internetu bez
dalších poplatků. Studenti uhradí nominální poplatek určený poskytovatelem služby za tisk. Studenti
budou platit stejný poplatek za tisk jako jiní studenti FSV.
Studentům CET bude zajištěn přístup do knihoven FSV, který jim pomůže v akademickém výzkumu.
FSV bude pomáhat CET k zajištění přístupu studentům CET do anglické knihovny.
D. Další záležitosti
FSV a CET budou spolupracovat v dobré víře tak, aby mohly řešit jakékoliv další záležitosti, které
mohou v průběhu trvání smlouvy vzniknout. CET si vyhrazuje právo najmout externího poskytovatele
pro veškeré služby nejmenované v této smlouvě, popřípadě najmout FSV.
Article 4 Future Cooperation
A. CET and FSV agree to work together to develop a more robust partnership, to the benefit of both
institutions and their students.

Článek 4 Budoucí spolupráce
A. CET a FSV vyjadřují zájem dále spolupracovat směrem k rozvinutí silnějšího partnerství, což bude
přínosné pro obě instituce a jejich studenty.
Article 5 lntegration, Languaqe. Term and Validity of Memorandum
A. This Memorandum represents the final agreement between the parties and neither party will violate
or disavow this agreement during the period during its term of validity.
B. ln the event that CET needs to cancel the program before any given term dueto low enrollment,
there will be no cancellation penalty and no tuition will be paid to FSV for that term.
C. The term of the validity of this Memorandum for 365 days, beginning on January 1, 2023 and ending
on December 31, 2023.
D. The term of the Memorandum may be extended upon the written agreement of both parties.
E. This memorandum is valid and enforceable from the time it is signed by the CET Director of Prague
Programs and the Dean.
Článek 5 Další záležitosti
A. Tato dohoda reprezentuje konečnou dohodu mezi stranami. Žádná ze stran neporuší ani nepopře
tuto dohodu po dobu její platnosti.
B. V případě, že CET bude potřebovat zrušit program před kterýmkoli semestrem kvůli nízkému
množství zapsaných studentů, nebude platit žádnou pokutu za zrušení a rovněž nebude platit
školné pro FSV na daný semestr.
C. Doba platnosti této dohody se určuje na 365 dní, počínaje 1. lednem 2023 a konče 31. prosincem
2023.
D. Dobu platnosti je možné prodloužit na základě písemné dohody podepsané oběma stranami.
E. Tato dohoda je platná a vynutitelná od doby podpisu vedoucím CET a děkanem FSV.
The parties acknowledge that in order to come into effect this agreement requires to be released in the register
of agreements in compliance with the Act no. 340/2015 Coll. and they furthermore approve of this release.
Charles University shall secure forwarding of the agreement to the registry of agreements immediately upon
signing the agreement. Charles University commits to notify the other party about the execution of registration
by sending to the other party a copy of the confirmation from the administrator of the registry of agreements
about the release of the agreement and it shall do so without undue delay after it has obtained such a
confirmation; or, if previously inserted an ID of the databox of the other party in the appropriate section on the
accompanying form (in this case, a confirmation from the administrator of the registry of agreements shall be
received by both parties simultaneously).
This agreement will enter force on the date of signature of both contracting parties and on the date it is entered
in the registry of agreements.
Smluvní strany berou na vědomí, že tato smlouva ke své účinnosti vyžaduje uveřejnění v registru smluv podle
zákona č. 340/2015 Sb., zákon o registru smluv a s tímto uveřejnění souhlasí. Zaslání smlouvy do registru

smluv zajistí FSV neprodleně po podpisu smlouvy. FSV se současně zavazuje informovat CET o provedení
registrace tak, že zašle CET kopii potvrzení správce registru smluv o zveřejnění smlouvy bez zbytečného
odkladu poté, kdy sama obdrží potvrzení.
Tato smlouva nabývá platnosti dnem podepsání oběma smluvními stranami a účinnosti dnem uveřejnění v
registru smluv.
